Soldier Field - Home of the Chicago Bears

Soldier Field officially opened October 9th, 1924 as 45,000-seat Municipal Grant Park Stadium. A year later it was renamed Soldier Field. In 2001 the old Soldier Field was almost completely demolished to make way for a newer version. On September 29th, 2003 the new stadium opened with a seating capacity of 61,500. The new stadium cost $606 million and took 20 months to build.
